Things to do from home in Calgary April 22nd to April 29th

Alberta Parks Camping Reservations Suspended

Date: Until May 19th
Cost: Refunded
Location: Alberta Parks

We have a good news / bad. news situation for you here. Like ripping off a band-aid, we’re going to drop the bad news first… The camping season is going to be starting off late this year. Yes, unfortunately, @alberta_parks has suspended all camping reservations including during the unofficial start of camping season, May Long Weekend. If you made a reservation, at least your money is not lost, as anyone with a reservation up to May 19 will be refunded in the next two weeks – check out the link in the @alberta_parks bio for all the details. Definite bummer, for sure, but now for the not-so-bad news. All is not lost for all you hardcore campers out there. While @alberta_parks are temporarily closed, random camping is still allowed on crown land as long as you maintain social distancing rules and don’t have a fire, which is definitely doable! If you choose to stay home for May long camping this year at least you won’t be snowed on in your tent, so there is that!
